This app is pretty educational and entertaining. Not a ton of annoying ads or anything, though I do wish they'd allow for more free game reviewing. I can understand keeping the videos behind a pay-wall, but the stats too? ...It's giving greedy, girl, idk... Biblical greed aside though, I've been enjoying my experience thus far. Easy sign-up too, so you can quickly add your friends for matches.

It's one of the best apps for learning and playing chess. Lessons are locked to 1 per week unless you pay a somewhat pricey premium, most bots are locked, and you can play a few games with an AI coach before it pay walls you. Personally, it feels like it relies too much on making money, but it's very good nonetheless. A bug I found on mobile only is that games with coaches are completely unplayable, the game starts up, and you can see the board, but then you can't move pieces or tap anything.

The chess is fine, but it's chess. the game is already made. the platform is one of the most annoying mobile interactions I've had. constant pushing to get a premium subscription for subpar premium features. The game review function is ridiculous most of the time and never gives helpful tips, and even still, you get one a day unless you pay. you can't use explorer? puzzles are limited? constant big colorful buttons that tell you to get premium? How is the base game of chess the only good here?
